Behnam is being tapped into a permanent basis as the acting chair of the CFTC. Behnam, Kristin Johnson and Christy Goldsmith Romero will fill vacant CFTC commissioner seats. Since the departure of Brian Quinten on August 31st and Heath Tarbet in January, there have been two empty seats in the panel, which usually has five commissioners. As of right now we are not sure how the addition of Johnson and Romero will affect the policy on digital assets at the CFTC.
