Malaysian Decided Crypto Mines Needed a Steam

I guess Bitcoin could use a nice steam? Malaysian authorities took steaming to the next level. After seizing 1,069 bitcoin mining rigs and laying them in a police headquarters parking lot, a steam roller was used to crush them. $1.26 million worth of mining equipment was destroyed. Rather than selling the mining gear, they opt to crush it on court order. Cryptocurrency mining is not illegal in Malaysia, but there are laws around power use. Videos of the event were posted last week by local Sarawak news outlet Dayak Daily and have since gone viral on social media.
